Downtown Kirkland's nightlife is unparalleled in the rest of Eastside. The Teen Union Building, found in Peter Kirk Park, has a darkroom, two music stages, and a recording studio.

Kirkland is a short distance from Olympic Sculpture Park, Seattle Aquarium, the Space Needle, the Washington State History Museum, Woodland Park Zoo, and a wide variety of wineries and wine tasting rooms

Kirkland, Washington’s temperatures are mild and range from the 80’s in summer to the 50’s in winter.  This delightful climate makes year-round outdoor recreation a way of life. Lake Washington, the Olympic Mountains, and the Seattle skyline offer sightseeing cruises, private boats, kayak, and scenic walks through the town. The aquatic surroundings afford intimate views of nocturnal beavers, nesting eagles and shorebirds. Juanita Bay Park recently earned the praise of the Audubon Society for operating one of the region’s best urban wildlife preserves.
